Background
Normally at ZOTAC, a key art that was created for a product launch is used worldwide. In this case, they wanted to provide additional support for their team in Latin America.
Goals
Part of enhancing its branding efforts inside Latin America, ZOTAC needed to localize one of its product key art to fit the local aesthetics.
Result
Drawing on a vibrant and saturated color scheme favored by the Latin American culture, plus graphic elements inspired by their fashion aesthetics, we've created a dedicated launch key art for the region that shows appreciation for their culture, all the while contrasts nicely with the product design itself.
Background
MAGNUS is a class of Mini PCs from ZOTAC that is about the size of a bento box but fully capable of high-end gaming that rivals the much larger tower rigs ten times its size. EN970 is the launch model for the all-important MAGNUS line.
Goals
ZOTAC needed the design to present power, at the same time it needs to relate to the gaming focus of this product.
Result
Magnus means "great" in Latin, it is also associated with warriors in the gaming world. We chose the imagery of a Roman soldier, cropped in a manner to showcase strength. We added a hint of splatter and sparks from the battlefield, resulting in creating an imagery that conveys both power and gaming. It perfectly complements the slogan we came up as the rallying cry for this line of products: "Power Your Play"!

Background
ZOTAC is the original maker of some of the world's smallest, most powerful Mini PCs. The smallest of these fully featured workstations can be as small as a pack of gum, while the most powerful of these can be the size of merely a takeout lunch box. These are compact but powerful computers responsible for powering tens of thousands of digital signage across the country. Although the brand has been around for 10 years, ZOTAC is still one of the more unexplored brands to the public.
Goals
Our goal for the packaging redesign was a multifaceted one: It needs to raise brand awareness, act as the brand ambassador, be informative, stand out from the crowd, and able to scale with growing lines of products. One of the early challenges for our team was: how do we accomplish all of that under an extremely tight budget constraint?
Results
We made sure the design language was bold and iconic while using materials that are both cost-effective and eco-friendly. In terms of copywriting, information, and design, we bucked the trend of the typical cold and measured approach in the computer industry and opted for an engaging and conversational voice to be approachable for prospective consumers (especially those who are not computer experts).
The result is a series of eye-catching designs that easily stands out from a sea of sameness. It presents info in a clear, concise and memorable fashion. It reflects the ingenuity of the products and ZOTAC’s honest and direct approach to the consumer. It becomes a powerful sales tool. The conversation begins, the moment you pick up the box.

Background
ZOTAC's PI335 is a pocket-sized PC that's physically no larger than a stack of cards. Despite its small size, it's a fully capable PC able to run a full Windows 10 operating system.
Goals
Rather than focusing on product specs, we want the consumer to appreciate the potential usefulness of such a portable product. We set out to illustrate just how portable this product really is.
Result
A striking image showcasing its most prominent feature. The benefit for the user is immediately apparent. Together with a copy that speaks to the product's technical capability, we've given the consumer an opportunity to imagine the possibilities a product like this may bring.

Background
PC gaming is widely recognized in the industry to be more graphics intensive and demanding than console gaming. Gaming consoles like PS4 and XBOX are limited by compromises, they needed to fit into smaller systems and lower manufacturing costs to be viable. PC hardware, on the other hand, does not share those limitations. Games developed for the PC can often push the limits of realism beyond the reach of console games. Even with the same titles, the user will find the PC versions to have more details, graphics depth, and greater enhancements than their console counterparts — All of that changed with ZOTAC's gaming Mini PC line.
Goals
Teaming up with Steam, NEN SN970 is a limited edition gaming Mini PC blurring the lines of console and PC gaming. It is a full-fledged powerful gaming system that can go toe to toe with a large gaming rig but inside a PS4-XBOX-sized body. Our challenge is to come up with copy and key art imagery that conveys the idea to the consumer.
Result
To emphasize the idea that this product has blurred the lines of PC and console gaming, we literally blurred the lines in the written words as well as visual imagery. By using the effect of positive/negative space on the typography itself, the slogan and its typography are set purposefully with the intent to be read both ways (PC Gaming. Console DNA. or PC DNA. Console Gaming.) interchangeably. This is further enhanced by the visuals of the gamer and his avatar in a similar manner.
Background
The MI553 represents a new generation of Mini PCs for ZOTAC. It was completely redesigned from the ground up, with extra care being put into the aesthetics as well as ventilation and performance. It's an important product for ZOTAC that signals a new direction of Mini PC design.
Goals
The key visual needs to convey that this is a multi-functional do it all Mini PC. At the same time, it needs to convey the artistic aspect of the product design.
Result
To give the consumer the idea that this product is capable of handling a wide range of tasks, we've decided to create a film-poster-like collage to illustrate our story. The design treated each area of tasks as a unique aspect of a much larger story. In it, you can find elements that represent technological advancements, entrepreneurial spirit, and artistic sensibility. The result is a visual that is worth a thousand words.
Background
MAGNUS is a class of Mini PCs from ZOTAC that is about the size of a bento box but fully capable of high-end gaming that rivals the much larger tower rigs ten times its size.
Goals
Following the success of the EN970, EN10 Series utilizes NVIDIA's latest graphics processing power. ZOTAC needed to continue to present power and relate to its gaming focus, but it needs to differentiate from the older model.
Result
We moved beyond the Roman warrior aesthetics, looked to the future and drew inspiration from giant mechanized robot suits to convey the next generation of "Power Your Play" for ZOTAC's gaming Mini PCs.
Background
Every year, ZOTAC has a major presence at the world's largest computer tradeshow event, this year is no exception. In 2017, besides its regular exhibit, ZOTAC hosted its ZOTAC CUP esports tournament right on the tradeshow exhibit floor. It was a pioneering effort on ZOTAC's part, as it was the first event of its kind in Computex's 36-year history. In 2018, ZOTAC hosts the esports tournament there for the second time.
Goals
The key visual needs to combine artwork elements from the ZOTAC CUP esports tournament as well as provide a teaser for a new product that will be announced at the trade event. It needs to create visual interest for the main exhibit while alluding to the esports event onsite.
Result
We created a key visual drawing on elements from both the ZOTAC CUP and the product showcase exhibit. We then applied it to create designs for the collaterals such as event invites, social media banners, web banners, landing pages, flyers, billboards, posters, totes, and other environmental graphics and marketing collaterals.
Background
ZOTAC manufactures state-of-the-art Mini PCs and graphics cards that are VR Ready. In the effort to create awareness about their VR Ready products, it needed a strong key visual to anchor a new campaign.
Goals
Without securing a major VR game title in time to partner with ZOTAC's VR Ready campaign, we needed to create a key visual that has the look and feel of a major game title.
Result
To achieve the desired results of the look and feel of a game title, we needed to look beyond just a nice photography with typographic treatment.
We created a detailed composite work that involves more than a dozen imagery and weaved it into an intriguing visual that tells a story. The VR reference is immediately apparent, it takes the viewer behind our hero as he steps into a new dimension.
Background
While it may be foreign to the general consumer, graphics cards are ubiquitous for the computer DIY crowds and gamers alike. It's the heart that powers everything from the immersive 3D worlds of PUBG to the heart-pounding realism of Call of Duty. It's the engine we take for granted that makes VR possible.
Unlike most of our client work, the target audience for this campaign isn't the general consumer, but the people who build their own systems. These people understand the trade-offs between having immense graphics power and keeping the system at a manageable temperature.
Goals
Since our target is more technical, we can cut past the basics and move straight to what matters most to them. That being said, we want to appeal to their emotions rather than logic. We want to show them that these are a powerful new generation of graphics cards while driving home the idea that they don't need to sacrifice on cooling. The challenge is to present this in a fresh way visually that is different than what they are accustomed to from this industry but immediately apparent what we're communicating.
Result
We begin by turning the graphics cards vertically (not the way they're usually displayed) and positioned them in a manner that exudes magnificence as if they are superpowered beings. The image of the grounds breaking reinforces the "Game Changing" promise of these new products. The icy environment conveys the product's exceptional cooling ability. We've created an intriguing image. At the same time, the message is unmistakable.

ZOTAC CUP is an online global eSports tournament platform hosting gamer favorite titles for players to connect, compete, hone skills, and win cash prizes. ZOTAC CUP Masters is the physical version of the tournament that is often hosted at prominent locations throughout the world where professional gamers and gaming fans alike can come together to celebrate eSports.
Goals
The key visual needs to show a gamer-centric design combined with elements of the particular game that is being played at the tournament. In this case: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).
Result
Drawing on the hoodie-gamer visuals we've established with several gaming related artworks for ZOTAC, we purposely put the master gamer in a similar attire in this design. He is front and center to convey that this is a gamer-centric event. We also surround him with graphic elements from CS:GO. Various pieces show how the key visual is utilized throughout the campaign.
Background
VR opens up the possibility for a different type of exploration, but current technology limits our movement with cables tethered to a stationary computer. Anyone who has tried VR has experienced being tangled by a myriad of cables just as things start to get exciting. ZOTAC came up with a solution by creating a backpack PC that’s powerful enough to run high-end VR systems.
Process
In this 360 integrated launch campaign, we ventured outside the computer industry and look to athletic lifestyle brands like Nike and Adidas for inspiration. We came up with the slogan “Taste the Freedom. Be Unstoppable.” and created a dynamic key art to highlight the value proposition of this product. We want the visual language to convey movement and airiness without looking chaotic.
The campaign is built around the following introduction copy:
-
From the moment you put on VR GO, the VR Backpack PC, you will experience unstoppable freedom in virtual reality. Jump, dance, spin and explore. You are finally free from traditional cable tangles. Once you’ve tasted the Freedom, you will never go back. Be Unstoppable.
-
Once we have the basic ingredients, we then proceed to create online and offline assets to tell our story. We also helped design a food-truck-style mobile demo station for use in metropolitan areas, as well as in-person demos booths at major gaming and technology events around the world.
Graphic tees are a great way to extend the branding presence of an organization or cause. They are essentially walking advertisements of a brand. Here's a select sample of graphic tees we've designed recently.
